Two men have captured Helen Whitley’s imagination.. She’s long admired Viscount Langley, her brother in law’s dear friend however army officer Marcus Dalrymple also stirs emotions within her. Who shall she choose? Helen’s character is well developed and charming and I particularly liked that she was no simpering miss but a talented artist in her own right. Monday’s Child is set in Belgium in the days and weeks prior to Napoleon’s invasion which makes for an intriguing setting. Ms. Morris, as usual, has captured the essence of the Regency era; her descriptions make the reader feel as if they are there. I highly recommend this book to fans of Regency romance.
